Grinds to a halt very quickly

I love the Pacific Rim franchise so when I saw this game I became very excited. It’s your usual match 3 fighter set in the PR universe and it’s actually pretty fun. The problem, however, is that the enemies become overwhelming very quickly. It’s at this point that it becomes clear this is a pay to win. The platinum (premium currency) is scarce and the fact that you get 8-15 per achievement or level when ONE Jaeger costs 500 is kind of ridiculous. Coupled with unreliable leveling gear and it gets tedious and frustrating. Could have been a much better game if they hadn’t rushed to coincide with the new film. But they did. Hence 3 stars. Hopefully improvements are made. I have high hopes.
