Can’t level up higher teir units with lower teir items

That I find to be highly stupid because in ANY other game that has leveling up of characters, they let you use lower teir items since they still work at doing their job: Leveling up a character regardless of their rank!

Example: I’ve got Hades and I can’t use level 1 and 2 leveling up items on him, but I need level 5 or higher in order to work! That’s STUPID!! All items need to be acceptable regardless of level!
